The Founders

David O. Higley

Co-founder and Managing Partner

Prior to forming Bond Lane Merchant Bank, Dave was a managing director and global head of digital media at UBS Investment Bank. Dave joined UBS in early 2000 to build its global technology group and establish a digital media coverage effort, which included hiring and managing teams located in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, London and Beijing. Under Dave’s leadership, the UBS digital media group quickly became the leading banking group in the sector (measured both by transactions completed and by fees generated) – a position maintained throughout Dave’s tenure at UBS. In addition to his duties as a global group head, Dave was also a member of UBS’ Equity Commitment Committee and was the managing director in charge of recruiting for the technology group. Dave joined UBS from the Prudential Volpe Technology Group, where he ran Prudential Volpe’s digital media efforts.

Prior to investment banking, Dave was a corporate attorney at Thelen Marrin Johnson & Bridges - national law firm headquartered in San Francisco. During that time, Dave was involved in numerous equity and debt offerings and M&A for his clients. Dave has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (with honors) from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia.
